Imagine Fun Currency Overhaul

Recently we've taken a deep dive into addressing and improving components of the server that are very difficult for new guests. We've reviewed tons of data provided to us by staff, players & our lovely help desk about which questions and struggles appeared most. A reoccurring theme from everyone is the difficulty that players have when first starting out on the server. Today, we are addressing this issue with our first major overhaul: Currency!

How will it work?

Starting shortly we will be retiring the Castle, Flynn & Penny Arcade Tokens and introducing a brand new coin called the Kingdom Coin! A Kingdom Coin has the same worth as a penny token!

Why is this change happening and what is the goal?

This overhaul has been put into motion by the difficulties new guests have expressed when trying to learn how /ct works as well as the general confusion with things being spent by different coins that were all earned in the same way. With the new Kingdom Coin, everything is spent and earned as one singular coin and withdrawn as redeemable bank notes not physical coins allowing you to withdraw greater amounts at a time for trades & exchanges! Our overall goal is to remove some of the learning curve required for new players and streamline all of the currency exchanges.

How do I convert my coins?

When opening up your bank rather than having the option to withdraw or deposit you have a new button called convert. After confirming what you'd like to convert your current balance will be converted to use the Kingdom Coins! All previously market listings have already been converted to use this system!

How do I know what the price is worth? I'm used to Castles!

We know the initial transition period will be a little tricky given we're all so used to dealing with prices in castles. We've added a new /setting called the Legacy Currency Helper which will show you the castle price as well as the new Kingdom Coin Price. Additionally, you can also do /coinrate <amount in castles> to see what that amount would be in Kingdom Coins. These options will be available for the next 3 months and then will be phased out.

What if I want to keep my old coins?

That's totally okay! Although they won't be able to be used in shops or on the market, we are totally okay with you keeping them as collectables or as a memory of the past. If you have old coins in your inventory that you'd like to deposit, simply select the coin and Shift + Right Click and it will be automatically deposited into your bank as a Kingdom Coin!

Will the ride payout be changing?

No! Because 1 Penny is worth 1 Kingdom Coin the ride payouts will be staying the same worth, you'll just be receiving Kingdom Coins rather than Penny Arcade Tokens

Additional Changes

  • Market Cap is now 500,000 Kingdom Coins ( 7000+ Castles )
  • Added your current balance to scoreboard
  • Introduced Bank notes!
