Hello again, ImagineFun!
Can you believe that we are already almost done with summer? Time flies when you’re having fun and releasing a boat load of new features! 🙂
It’s time for our third content drop of the summer and this is easily the biggest of them all. Let’s kick off with a surprise announcement for some of you:
Introducing IF+
Last year we introduced a brand new subscription-based rank to ImagineFun called DVC+. It took our already crazy perk-filled rank of DVC and added all kinds of highly requested features and perks for our most dedicated members and supporters of the server.
One downfall of DVC+ was to get the + perks and subscription you had to already have the DVC rank. Today that changes as DVC+ evolves into IF+.
IF+ is available to anyone on the server regardless of your rank. When subscribed you gain access to all IF+ perks. A “+” will be added to your rank and will appear in chat as [Club33+] or even, you guessed it, [Guest+].
We believe that this change will allow more people to enjoy all the current features that IF+ has to offer in addition to a whole slew of new perks and features like Minigame Hosting and a new first-person ride camera exclusive to IF+. Forced Perspective
Is your hand getting tired of keeping your head forwards when riding on rides? Yeah, ours too. Well, lucky for you, IF cares about hand care and has introduced a new feature called Forced Perspective. Next time you hop onto a ride, hit the spacebar, sit back, and relax as you enjoy facing forwards for the entire ride! This feature is enabled on every ride that has been upgraded to the new system!
Quests
Never did we realize how passionate some of you are about The Muppets. We know that we announced our puppet friends would be joining us sometime last week, but we ran into some tiny delays and didn’t want to release an unfinished product. But guess what? Kermit and his friends are ready to meet you, simply check out /q in game to find the storyline. As a reward for completing this quest, you will get Floyd Pepper’s guitar!
In the last content drop, we announced daily quests.So far daily quests have been "ride a random ride x amount of times". Well, we are excited to introduce a variety of fun new daily quests around the park. Make sure to do your dailies to earn those extra kingdom coins!
Earlier this month we introduced our first tutorial quest and today we introduce another one to the series! New players can now complete a Lightsaber Building Tutorial which can be located in Galaxy’s Edge! This will walk guests through building their very own lightsaber. If you’ve already built and found the codes around Galaxy’s Edge, this quest will automatically complete for you once you start it 🙂.
Stats
Do you have a complex spreadsheet of all your statistics square rooted with the quadrilateral triangle of a circle? No? Well, me neither, but for our number nerds out there you’ll be incredibly excited to see a beaustiful new update to /stats that tracks just about everything you’ve done on the server! Not only that but you now get some new leaderboards! For example, did you know that Tater_Tot has exchanged 1,304 McFlurries?
Minigames
The moment many of you have been waiting for: minigames have arrived on ImagineFun! At initial launch, there are three games to play. More games, features, and maps are in the works, but we couldn’t wait any longer for everyone to play!
Minigames can be hosted by staff & IF+ members. When hosted an announcement is posted in chat for anyone to join.
Here’s the current minigames:
Cookie Slap
Everyone is granted a cookie to slap each other with. If you get slapped off the map, you’re out! Last person standing wins!
Red Light, Green Light
When the light is green sprint down Main Street, but you better stop before it turns red or you go back to the start. First person to the finish line wins!
King of The Hill
Grab your lightsaber and fight to stay on the hill to accumulate points. The person with the most points at the end of the game is the winner!
Like we said above, this is just the beginning for minigames. We have so many dreams and exciting plans to come, but we hope you enjoy this initial release as much as we have!
We are so excited for you to experience all of these fun features! If you’re keeping track you may notice that auctions are missing from this content drop. As mentioned with quests, we never want to release something we aren’t completely satisfied with and Auctions still need a bit of tweaking. We hope that you accept all the new IF+ perks, an additional minigame, and fixed perspective as a fair trade for this delay 🙂.
We still have one more content drop this summer; the mystery content drop. What else could we possibly be adding?! See you then!
