Firework Show

Slinx has a little teaser to show off of an upcoming firework show that’ll be done soon. The screenshare is in the call recording!
Once again we have a completely new show system!

Hall of Fame Updates

The long awaited Hall of Fame is almost here
Each ride has a “render”, here’s some of the sample drafts (subject to change):

Basically, every single ride will have some sort of customized render in our hall of fame
Coming along very well, just finishing up the renders and then it’ll be done!
A huge shoutout to Liz, Slinx, Ramen, Besupo, Nara, Wuttles, Cameron, Kawaii for all helping out
Probably 1-7 day update time if someone overtakes top all-time spot
Unfortunately Jolly Trolley is not likely to come back… ever… perhaps but very unlikely

Feedback: ImagineFun Battle Royale

You may have seen that we ran a battle royale event for a group of creators (shoutout LinusStudios for organizing all of this and being the reason you all will be able to play a battle royale!)
We built out and had a whole battle royale on the map
Would you all be interested in particpating in a whole map Battle Royale for the IF community?
To clarify, very pvp focused, which won’t be everyone’s favorite thing
In the future would love to rework it to use more of the IF toys (how cool would it be to use Thor’s hammer to win)
Will probably be hosting it next month or maybe October! We’ll see, date not set yet. Will make announcements about it when it’s time!

ImagineFun Collections Server

Some of you may remember the pin trader community server from a few years ago. Recently some staff have asked to transform it into a new community focused around collecting & trading items.

Note: Sleeping beauty castle walkthrough will be closed until further notice. We are not sure when we plan to bring it back. Closed it when we updated the castle and to be honest it didn’t have a lot of activity to begin with, so we’re not super focused on fixing it right now, focused on other, bigger projects. We’ll hide the SBCW achievement so it’s not required for 100%

We’re waiting on figuring out controlling ride cars cross-instance, which is blocking this right now

How safe will our items be when we use them in our Hotels? Will there be continuous backups of our hotel world just in case something happens? also what about signed items? if we have a signed item that can be placed, would the signature remain or not? (that you know of)

Yep, your items will be completely fine and signatures will always stay! You’ll never lose a signature for placing an item

Will the Mickey & Friends Magic Band have an alex skin fit?

Yes! We’re looking at that this week. We’re going to be updating the Magic Bands so rather than needing to buy the Steve or Alex variant, you just buy the band and it automatically uses the one that fits your skin. This should launch soon.

Will enchanted ride pins claimed on the first day achievements released ever get their original date of hitting 10k?

We don’t have the data to say when you originally hit 10k. However, if you have verifiable proof of the original date you hit it (e.g., you showed it off in #server-pictures), you can open a ticket and we can honor that and update your item. It won’t update in the achievement display, but it will update the item.

Certain rides have autograb that you can afk grind if someone else starts the ride, any update on this being fixed?

Yes, we have a list of ones that need to have their radius shrunk

How many room/furniture sets for hotels can we expect for the hotels drop? And can we get a small hint on another theme not yet announced for those sets?

I do not know how many we will have for launch

Are there plans to add more parkour courses at any point in the future? (i really like them)

Yes! We will add a ton more parkour over time. It’s all about figuring out where we want to put the skill level for parkour requirements. Sorry to those who suffered through the original iteration of Grizzly Peak and those who are still struggling with it. We’ll take it slow there

Sure, make a note: there will be one day between now and the end of the year that there’ll randomly be a button outside of Small World and the first person that blows it up gets a title, and nobody else can

unimportant but fun question: what is your favourite toy effect currently on the server (also can we please get Meridas Bow and/or a cookie that turns you into a bear from Brave in the future)

We can definitely get those as items

Cam’s favorite toy right now is the sorcerer’s wand, always has a soft spot for the 10 rings and the Khonshu Staff

Nara’s favorite toy right now is the flyables that you can control in the sky

Any chance we could possibly get top score NPCs for Buzz?

We don’t typically do a top score NPC for rides like that, never say never though, something we can consider in the future

Would IF ever be able to have parades? We’ve had firework shows and stage performances, I think it would be cool to have some parades.

It’s on our to-do list, but it’s not something we’re prioritizing. Have a lot more stuff we want to accomplish first. Will eventually probably get Electric Parade first

Are screens being worked on for rides such as star tours, midway mania, soarin, or smugglers run?

Not at the moment, a little torn on how we want to use screens going forward. Big internal debate on how we’re going to use screens when a ride is solely a screen. Like using screens to enhance existing rides, but not sure how we feel about using it for the entire ride. We’ll see!

Ramen is getting a feature ready to be merged with his achievement updates that will allow us to create a Parkeology leaderboard. You’ll basically have an endless cannonball run

You’re a lil early! Typically we put them up around late September or beginning of October. Will look at when we usually do it or will wait for DL to put theirs up

Yes full parkeology cannonball, probably won’t do a DCA cannonball, just gonna have the parkeology one. Might change how it works to be more like the cannonball run (e.g., not being able to warp, so might not include retro)

What's the percent of rides still needing to be transferred to the new system.

0%! Now that retro is merged over, we don’t have a single ride on the old system. Last one ever was tower of terror

Any updates on mayors and how'll they'll work?

Nothing to share right now, probably going to rename them from mayors. If you have an idea on what you think we should call them, let us know!

With monorails being able to be seen around the map, will some rides (like Autopia) be able to use this system to make the park feel more alive?

We can definitely have the cars look like they’re running before the ride itself is open, will throw it on our list

NPCS, will they be seen more around the map to make it seem more realistic? (NPCs I'm talking about are the moving ones from ROTR)

Yes, don’t know when we’ll have the ability to do it. Hopeful goal that we’ll have a lot more interactive ride operators that’ll make it feel more interactive

Plans on adding any old rides to retro? Especially ones that have previously existed on the server like California Screamin'? Also, possibility of the other three attractions in Bugs Land?

Retro is not a huge focus for us right now, but it is something we’ll actively consider for the future

when might we be getting that pin hoarder buff that was mentioned a few stage calls ago? i've got a lot of pins waiting to be hoarded :p

Yes, will figure out how to do that. Not sure how yet, but will figure it out. Perhaps group that with the pin hoarder buff

Yes, might not have it immediately but will be updating to the refurbed version

What does the timeline look like for when we can expect the /audio's new ambiant sounds to release?

Sean has been a bit busy but is looking to pick up on more of that later this month and hopefully see where he can get, no timeline yet.

Add descriptions to titles; could explain the origin of how a title was obtained (e.g. "Bug Batch" - Awarded to the first boarding group of Rise Of The Resistance).

Would you want to make it so you can see all of them? Would have to revamp the menu for this

For titles that have low percentages (maybe titles that have a player percentage of 0%-5%) (excluding the 8 default titles which are set to 0%), show the amount of people who have it instead of a percentage.

Would love to create a trail (+ perhaps warp effects) preview system. Had a toy preview draft for a while that we didn’t end up releasing that we can adapt

How do you know when you are in the hall of fame? Do you get anything for being in HOF?

Will probably give a title. You’re in there when you’re a top rider on a ride (/ridestats)

I know there was some kind of Discord bot back in the day people could use to get IF info and stuff from any server, would there ever be any cross-use between it and the collection server if that bot came back?

At one point Cam had a draft for a discord bot… perhaps

That could be cool! Will explore how we want to implement this

How long does it normally take to work on a ride to manage to get it open?

Completely depends on the ride. Rise was months of work, other rides are knocked out in an afternoon (Heimlich took <1 hour)

Can we get armour stands in Hotels to put hats or helmets on? or shelfs to put our Funkos on?

Yes, will have the ability to display any items you own

Can you explain how the birthday bundle works, I plan to celebrate my 30th on the server.

Yes! The Birthday bundle has some birthday hats and cake items to give to your friends/whoever you’re celebrating with. There are birthday cards so you can collect signatures from friends! Happy early birthday!

Regarding the M&G queue update, will the party system different from the M&G party queue? Some of us wants to use the current party system for general chatting in a private group.

Tricky, it’ll probably be the same. You’ll select people in your party to join the M&G group

Also about the M&G update, I'm still confused about how reducing the frequency of fastpass is gonna help reduce the time, because it's still gonna be the same number of people waiting, just in different queues.

Don’t think it’s going to be the same amount of people waiting bc people won’t want to sit and wait for the queue so they’ll pick and choose which to go for

Less in priority queue will mean that the average user on the normal queue waits less time

Will post a weekly schedule of characters to expect to see, so you can know which ones you want to use your pass for

Will the Parkeology challenge be reset soon? I think it's safe to say the ROTR hype has died down now.

Yes, the challenge will be reset. However, we’re going to fix the ROTR preshow first, don’t know how it broke. Accurate to the IRL ride, has to break sometimes!

This was a while ago but why was party chat text turned to green instead of yellow? It seems kinda odd especially since the Party tag is still yellow.

Did that to make it stand out more, someone suggested green and Cam tried it out and liked it

Is the tab player list still being worked on? Recently it's been showing an empty player list with random player heads for 30 secs - 1 minute at a time (example), just wanna make sure you're aware and all.

Is it intentional that the event area says 2x the rewards but it's actually 3x? Outside the area you get 2-3 tokens, and inside you get 6-9.

Pacha's cloak trim is gold, very similarly to Pin Hoarder's. Is that just a design choice or is there lore I should look into when Pacha moves in? Adding on to this, is there any lore planned in the near (or distant) future?

There’s always lore that could potentially be planned, to be honest that one was just a design choice

When you click the portrait in the HOF it’ll open the /ridestats GUI that’ll show you the all-time top riders with the times to beat

Temporarily disabled because it sometimes crashes when you turn into a skeleton, similar to Maui Hook
