Welcome everyone! We have a recording of our Stage Call, in case you’d like to listen along!

For those who experienced it /voteban is Cam’s new favourite command. Expect more of it in the future.

The Disneyland Tram!

We hear you about the Tram audio and are working on a solution. We haven’t had much luck finding good source audio, but we’ll continue to look and will update it.

Major props to the people who are already crushing the ride leaderboard. Some of you already have two days of ride time! Wow!

What did y’all think of the trailer!?

“The tram fuels our souls”, “W trailer, W trams”. Positive thoughts all around!
The tram was the funniest option for an April Fools ride addition that also added value to the server.

Rise of the Resistance!

As we shared last time we’re still making progress on Rise. We are genuinely so excited for this one. It’s hard to put into words just how much it will change, its unlike anything we’ve ever done.

With this ride, we have a whole new approach with animation for characters. Things will be a lot more fluid… it’s a completely new caliber to what is already on the server.

Easter Event recap!

Egg Hunt: egg/10. Everyone likes the hunt. Some even want more eggs than the 100 we already do...
Egg hunt difficulty should stay where it is currently, it’s hard when not following a guide, but people don’t want it to be easier.

Fun fact: the user-made guide took about 8 hours to make! Shoutouts to those who contributed to that.

Egg Radar/Compass item next year? Would point to the closest egg to your current location, maybe think of it like Jack Sparrow’s Compass. If we did this, it may warrant increasing the egg count…

Some cool items there, plus doing so now will retro-actively apply a reward when a future feature releases… 😉

We are in full swing prepping for May the 4th (Star Wars seasonal event)! We’ve got some cool new cosmetics coming, so look out for that…
Hyperspace Mountain is BACK, BABY.

Apparently Cam rode Hyperspace Mountain before normal Space Mountain IRL.

We aren’t going to spoil too much for it just yet… but we will be announcing and leaking things as we get close to the date. May do some kind of impromptu Stage Call prior to the release of May the 4th?

Mayors?!?!

What started as a weird hypothetical tangent two stage calls before is becoming a feature on the server! Cam is SUPER excited about this.

Thank you to all who have suggested aspects and features of this already, we’ve gotten some GREAT ideas from you all.

How it works:

Mayors you can vote for will all be Disney characters. Some IF characters may show up from time to time, though.
A mayor’s term lasts 2 weeks. During the last 3 days of that period, you will be able to vote for the next one in City Hall.
You can vote for 1 of 3 Mayors each cycle, but we will have more than 3 overall, so there is future variety.
A Mayor can serve 2 consecutive terms, if voted to power by the userbase.

Some corrupt mayors may last longer in office, however…

Mayors will have influence over gameplay on the server! This includes:

Land Shop Prices
Land Multipliers
Mini-Game Rotation
May also influence ride changes
Feature release (everything will be released in the end, but you may be able to semi-control the timeline of our releases)

Suggestions from the stage call:

Coins as a bribe to get voted?

…Richie Ranks would probably do that, so sure, maybe one takes a bribe for votes.

What if Mayors had a special item like a Mayor Pin that can be claimed by players ONCE through the Mayor. If it's a Pin item they can be added to a Pin Collector book. Doing this could make sure that the same Mayor isn't voted for all the time if they want to collect mayor pins.

Not sure about a pin, but ACHIEVEMENTS for each one…

Add special quests to the Mayor's Land that are only active during that mayor's time in office. It could be an NPC quest similar to a small event.

Might not do it for all of them, but it could happen with a few!

Instead of unlocking ALL of the Mayor's perks at one time - make it a challenge for every player to take part in. Example - A Mayor in Tomorrowland can have 5 Perks - but 3 of them are locked. To unlock these 3 perks, players would need to ride a combined total of 300 (or any number) rides in that land.

Cam seemed interested in this one!

When a Mayor gets voted in - maybe turn them into a Character and have a Walk Around where that Mayor can talk about the rides or shops in their land? It doesn't need to be a Meet & Greet though.

I’m sure that will happen!

In the previous meeting, the idea of rotating Minigames was mentioned. Maybe include a special minigame as a Mayor Perk that's only available during that Mayor's time in office? Not every mayor needs a minigame, so maybe create two new minigames and add them to two of the mayors.

We have to redo our mini-game menu to make room for new ones, but once that’s fixed, everything should be good to go with adding more.

Is there any perks you know for sure will be added with mayors?

We don’t want to confirm anything yet, we’re pretty early, so we’re going to wait to announce these.

General Updates

We’re wrapping up our planning of everything we want to accomplish through 2024 and we are so excited for what is to come

We want to be more transparent in the future as to not leave you all in the dark!

New Feature: Trade Request!

This is our attempt to fix cross-instance trading and make it easier for trade-chat people to organize trades with other users. It will be replacing normal trading, which is currently broken and has a radius limit. Cam thinks this will be a more convenient system than the current one.
This will share your inventory with the other player, who can pick what they want to trade for and what they want to offer for said item. This will allow for offline trading!

It’s a bit like Steam Trading, if you’ve ever used that.

How is the progress on Hotels?

Any potential update on smoothcoasters support?

It’s not prioritized, but it’s in our backlog. Expect something in the next few months.

Is there currently any updates on the Tiki Room?

None to give now, sorry.

Any update on retro coming over to the main server?

This was recently discussed internally, and we had a big debate on how to not only figure out the logistics for all of this, but how to go about giving things a good refresh. Retro deserves some sprucing up, it’s in a bit of an odd spot on the server at the moment. We’ll continue to add/update to it, as well as make things actually function over there (commands and items will be more useable there).

We expect this to be done in the next few months. It won’t be a major announcement, though.

Any updates on the Polar Express prizes?

WE ARE VERY SORRY!!!!!!!!!!! 😭

Any updates on the vote shop?

Not gonna say when, but we are cookin’. We just gotta figure out some items, but it’s done otherwise.

Are we still getting titles for rides?

Yes, once achievements are out! We are getting close for releasing the Achievements feature! We’re trying to do last minute testing to make sure everything is working properly.

This was a huge team effort to making everything, with names and ideas for achievements. Ramen’s been working hard on the system. We want to leave it as a surprise for guests — no spoilers!

How many rides left would you say until a completed park?

We’ll be making changes forever, it will never really truly be “completed”.

Will any other palisman be added like Owlbert and Ghost?

Probably!

hows progress going on the top rider hall of fame?

The build is complete! Hooray! It just needs to be coded out to add NPCs and whatnot. This will be an upcoming release.

any updates on Tsum Tsum?

Tsum Tums are part of a bigger release coming in a few months!

Any updates on galaxy’s edge or rise of the resistance? Do you have an estimate of when that will be opened?

Nope. We already talked a bit on this topic, but regarding Galaxy’s Edge: it will be continually updated to match the quality of our upcoming ROTR release. Custom blocks will be backported to the entire land, and some pre-existing items may see a bit of a refresh, too…

Have you worked on millennium falcon: smugglers run at all?

No, sorry. We are still avoiding rides that heavily use screens.

Any updates on “it’s a small world”?

Or, when the next eclipse happens. One of the two.

Toy Story Mania or Web slingers?

Cam’s preference between the two is Web Slingers. Soggy is offended.

Will you be adding autograbs and teleports to every ride? Rides like Jungle Cruise and RSR and maybe even ones like Lincoln and Storybook so if you're at the door/gate it will tp you into the ride? (Someone suggested this before and just wanted to bring it up in a meeting)

Storybook should be grabbing you… Cam will make sure it is added to JC and RSR.

Will any Pet M&Gs take place on National Pet Day on Thursday?

We have no plans at the moment, and we had no idea this was even a thing until now. But, never say never!

Are you guys going to start to take QOTD suggestions? (mentioned in a suggestion submitted today)

Not sure! If the staff members who run QOTD are tired of it, we may open it up to more people. But right now, they’re doing a great job.

No updates, sorry…

are we getting pets in IF like the bunny from April fools?

Fun fact! The bunny from April Fools was not us, it was a Lunar Client thing! According to Cam, another Minecraft server he knows of had 20+ supoprt tickets about the bunny; everyone was confused. Good joke, Lunar.

BUT PETS ARE COMING! Pets will follow you around the server, adorably so. They’ll despawn when you get on a ride and come back once you’re done. We have no other information at the moment, so you’ll have to wait for more.

PokeBalls?

THIS WEEKEND. PokeBalls are ready to go, locked in, and rolling out this Friday (April 12)!

Any planned upcoming phases or updates to the Retro server?

This was already discussed, but the Splash Mountain addition for sure.

How large will the Hotel rooms be? For how long would one renting session be for?

You don’t rent rooms, you just are given a room. KC will be spent to upgrade the size of it.

any new loungeflys or ears coming?

Yep! We just gave out the IF Beta Loungeflies, which are a big hit! More coming for sure.

is no boarder hide and seek coming back?

Cam wonders about doing something new, like a Hunger Games type game. People like normal hide and seek though, so maybe we can do both in the future…

Will Snow White's Enchanted Wish ever get a sign over the entrance?

Never say never, we had no idea it was missing one.

What happened to the recording for the last meeting (in March)?

Cam forgor. 💀 He says “my bad.”

Can we remove the "Your message contains "tp" or "teleport", as such it is being blocked while on a ride."? or at least restrict it to only block tp commands (/tpa, /tpahere, etc.)

Not sure what this is talking about, we’ll try to figure this out in the future.

Bringing back the "ampersand" question from last meeting, you said typing "&" will remove colour coding in party chat, but it has never actually worked?

You have to do & and then a color symbol, according to Cam.

Was the chance to get GLaDOS on Jungle Cruise altered? I got her three times within like an hour, and people have been getting her really often now I've noticed.

Yes. We buffed the chance, and can adjust that if really needed.

Will we get South Harbor street fully built?

Never say never?

Will DTD be built after the newest buildings are finished?

Yep.

How about an overview of all the goofypricebox items that are currently in there

This is being re-added! Sorry for forgetting about it.

If you really want to see what’s in the rotation, do /gpb <item type> it will show you the old menu. No features work in this menu, but you will be able to view all the items available in the mean time.

Would monorail come after the opening of DTD or could it open but be a full loop

We’re not sure when the monorail will happen, we don’t talk about it very often. It will probably all be in one go: finish DTD and get the monorail loop working. It’s not being worked on at the moment, but we will consider in the future.

Make Mayors be able to have jobs at different places around the part

Is the IF bank fixed?

Yes. (silly bugs.)

will yall ever open up the parking structures?

Yeah probably. Realistically everything will be open on the server.

Will there be a dining buffet like Plaza Inn for the hotels?

Not sure!

Any updates on Retro's Paradise Pier & California Screamin' ?

We haven’t touched it, as we’re focused more on high priority things.

Any upcoming items you’re particularly excited to be released?

Pokeballs! May 4th flyers!

As the team comes close to finishing DCA and Disneyland, especially considering there's not that many rides left, is there any plans or ideas thought about for the future?

There’s always thoughts, but nothing we currently want to share. We aren’t at a point where we would discuss things we would do after. We want to finish the current parks, and even then, is it ever truly “finished”?

I know it's kinda early haha but could we get a leak for Haunted Mansion Holiday 2024?

I want autopia badly when will that come

Autopia is the final ride that needs to return from our 2.0 launch. We’re redoing mechanics to make it more flexible and fun to ride, so it’s a bit on the backburner. It will be released this year, though.
