Winter

• We hope you’re all enjoying the Winter Event!
  • Haven’t announced this anywhere yet… but there’ll be some special and pretty cool prizes for the top 5 people on the Polar Express leaderboard at the end of the month! 😯
• It will be included in the changelog this week but we’ve made the following changes already
  • Fixed the token buff alert not appearing when you’re in the winter land / mall
  • Re-implemented the /eventshop command
  • Fixed issues with a bunch of items not being able to be worn
  • We’re fixing the Polar Express LB tonight. Sorry for its random location
  • You’ll also unlock the Polar Express Conductor title the next time you ride it! (starting tomorrow)

Titles!

• We’re still working through some of the title updates we began earlier in the year. There are roughly 20 Holiday themed titles that will be available in various ways through December
  • Working on adding them to your profile too
  • If you have any more ideas for what we can do with them, let us know!
• Almost all of these titles will be exclusive
• There will definitely be specific titles per ride, especially when achievements releases

Insiders

• We’re looking at some potential updates for insiders, We’re also gonna create a special giveaway channel on there for the people who boost. This will launch starting in January
• More beta stuff getting planned/starting up with hotels approaching
• Art competition voting will be there too
• Will bring back polls in Insiders too
• Also looking to get non-staff more involved in things like QA, etc. We’re revamping our internal teams too

Hotels

• We’re getting closer to a beta release that may just be a closed beta or a beta in Insiders (not sure yet), with the public launch getting closer and closer
• Nearing completion, set back by 1.19 update but getting back there
  • Since the old beta: UI has gotten a lot of updates, made a lot of things easier, ability to use lighting in your room

Ride System Update

• Behind the scenes, we’ve quietly been working on another overhaul/wave of improvements to our custom ride system
  • Mats has been working daily to progress through this update, we’re getting there! Hoping to launch before the end of December, but will be a quiet roll-out to see if it goes well. Will update you all in the next call if we end up releasing it and see if you’ve noticed improvements
• This update will feature a lot of stability issue improvements for rides like the DLRR, Main Street, Grizzly, and other rides that are constantly running
• It should also see some improvement for other rides that are always spawned like most of the pier rides, teacups, the carousels etc.

IF+ Update

• We’re adding an IF+ menu to allow people to manage their IF+ and see how long they have left.
• We’re considering a cheaper IF+ subscription that is just perks and does not come with keys, as we’ve been consistently adding more IF+ perks. What do you think about this?
  • Resounding yes
  • Would be a lot cheaper without the keys, would basically make the one with keys a bundle of IF+ and 10 keys vs. just IF+ without the keys. Not going to say a price yet because we’re still working it out, but glad to know that we should move forward with this
• Migrating to new IF+ streak management system, taking a little longer to make sure to preserve preexisting streaks
• Working to add more flying areas throughout the lands, going slow because we’re making sure you can’t access backstage areas
• We’ll probably create an automatic giveaway thing on Discord for IF+ members to join where daily/weekly/monthly? you can join to win free stuff, will probably eventually do the same for all members
• Thread in #meeting-chat: What other perks would you like to see added to IF+. Give us your wildest ideas and also some realistic ones pls 🙏🏻

• What's one huge thing planned for ImagineFun in 2024?
  • What’s the fun in telling you what’s planned a year in advance!
  • One thing: we’ll finally release the ride leaderboard hall (Hall of Fame)
• Will players who voted 200+ times in November receive their Magic Keys soon?
  • Yes, we definitely forgot that existed
• Is voting going to stay at 200 times?
  • Don’t know if we’re going to continue that into the new year, since we’re revamping voting as a whole (it will still be active for December). Will let you know.
• Are there any updates on converting GOTG back to Mission Breakout?
  • Give Cam a week to get back from his trip and then it’ll only take like 2 days, should be sometime around mid-December
• When can we expect vote crates to be converted to vote tokens/have an update?
  • Anticipate it appearing during December, but we’re running out of weeks in December. It’s ready, but we wanted to release it alongside some other stuff. Maybe will just solo-release
• Can we expect an in-game gift exchange for the holiday season like last year's event?
  • No. Sorry ): It was quite complex and difficult to make sure everyone’s prizes were fairly valued.
• Do you have any planned events after the 2023 Christmas event ends?
  • Of course! Always working on events, already working on calendar for 2024
• What happened to the meetings from IF Insiders?
  • You’re in one now! We moved to the main server
• Is there any plans to expand the mall in any way?
  • Definitely have ideas for the mall, but no timeline. Undecided on if it’s worth the time to really revamp right now
• Any plans to add new food items like a slice of pizza to Pizza Planet?
  • If you make a suggestion in #suggestions, Cam will upvote it and put it on our to-do list
• Any updates with titles and achievements?
  • Already talked about titles, no date on achievements but it’s being developed

  • No date but it’s being developed
• Are there gonna be more Nemo merch?
  • Perhaps, always a possibility of adding item merch. More likely to add stuff when revamping a ride. When we go back and revamp all of the nemo effects (like adding all the new underwater particle effects from 1.19), will probably consider more merch then
• Is there any update on anything in galaxy’s edge after the announcement of season of the force irl?
  • You’ll have to wait and see!
• Any idea when Retro server will be able to be in the same server as regular Disneyland so people on retro can talk to others.
  • Working on it!
• Any /scheduled shows/fireworks coming this Christmas season?
  • Yes! Will have tree show on normal schedule and working on more, don’t want to give the set date but keep an eye out around the weekend!
• Has there been any recent talk of bringing back some lore (Pin Hoarder or other)? Adding on to that, is the Pin Hoarder easter egg at Tam's part of the lore or is it just an easter egg?
  • There miiight be more coming up but not moving quickly
• How is Autopia going?
  • To keep it real, haven’t touched Autopia since February
  • Want to make it more realistic to the actual ride and actually being able to interact with the cars and move them around a little more
• If IASW opens, and when it does open, will there be a major event for it since it’s a ride that has been joked about and played around for its opening date?
  • Will definitely be a big event whenever it happens
• What’s the progress on JC and POTC?
  • When JC re-releases, it will feature the cinematic camera that we added to Storybook

• What are the thoughts for Soarin and how it’ll be conducted?
  • No idea, have not started anything related to rides like that yet
  • You’ve seen the fundamental groundwork being laid in other places
• How does the creative team know what project to work on? Do you all come to a consensus on what project to work on or are things filtered out to certain people? How do you decide what project is more important to work on?
  • We prioritize everything, go over everything and create rough deadlines for when we’d like to release things, save a bunch of stuff for later
  • With code, a lot of the time we’ll prioritize features that are more fun to us to work on, but still try to make sure everything gets the proper attention and updates. People pick up projects and sometimes others join them
  • Building, sometimes delegated out so people will individually work on specific rides (e.g., Slinx has done almost all of Pirates himself, Buzz was almost all MrBaguette and Aero)
• Can there be a Mickey Mouse Main Attraction series Adaption for IF? I’d absolutely love to have the irl items inside the server as apart of a collection series.

  • Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it probably won’t be coming. Looked into it, don’t have clear distinction for code to be able to recognize a signature vs. other item descriptions
  • Best we can offer is ability to clean the entire item and get a fresh one, but no way currently to remove individual signatures, sorry!
• Do you need builders for IASW?

  • Yes
• When will the vip hall/website get updated?
  • Soon, a little behind on the hall but once that’s updated it should fix the website, if not will manually fix the site

  • No plans for that
• Mainstreet electric parade updates?
  • Not sure, don’t think it’s been prioritized at the moment, put on the back burner to focus on other projects and will circle back at a later date
• Mickey and minnie’s runaway railway anytime soon?
  • We don’t give dates for stuff!
• Can you leak hotel room?
  • We’ve leaked everything about hotels! Nothing left!
• When will capybaras be added?

• Will the HMH preshow ever get fixed? The part where Jack pops out of the ceiling?
  • Yes we’ll get that fixed ASAP sorry, not sure why it decided to break again
• Friendgiving was so fun! Could we get more trivia and bingo events?
  • Will definitely be doing more activities like the Friendsgiving ones! Really glad to hear you all had a good time
• Make a Santa's Sleighride that flies over IF (maybe a next year idea)

  • Have updated everything to our own custom system! Since last year, every ride has had at least one change

  • Yes, will have 1.20.3 support very soon. Takes us a few days. Sounds like 1.20.3 will eventually become our base version eventually
• Can there be more furniture designs from each land and use? Like if someone wanted to make a BTM themed room, Nemo themed room, or Frontierland room
  • Haven’t fully decided. For some individual rides that have a lot of models, could do individual ride bundles
• Can you please add event tokens to the vote crate
  • Anticipated that we’d phase out the vote crate fast enough, but if we’re keeping it a little longer yeah we’ll add them
• Will there be a cannonball run 2? DCA edition?
  • Probably not… maybe… It’s so 50/50, half the people loved it and half the people despised it
• Can you leak a winter item if you have any more
  • Not in-game right now so can’t send, but we have SO many more and are so excited for the rest of the month
  • Keyboards have been a big hit! Really cool to hear people playing songs on them
• Whatever happened to the pancake pin from that meeting from forever ago?
  • It’s one of those things that I always remember in the meeting and then forget. One day
