December 2025 Stage Call

Welcome!

Version Bump

• 1.21.10 will be our new base version
• We’ll continue to let you connect with 1.19 for a little while but things won’t work fully correctly on those earlier versions and it will eventually be phased out entirely

• Working through bugs, greatly appreciate how much time you all put into reporting bugs and helping us get through fixing them

• Pinbook bug in particular, we have all the data safe we just have to work through parsing it in a new way, thank you for your patience

• Screens will be coming back, lighting blocks (like the pretty RGB blocks on the castle) unfortunately will not — Mojang completely removed the packet from the game that we used to create them so it’s physically impossible to add them to the client
• What could have been (these no longer exist in the new version and aren’t possible in the new version… don’t expect it anytime soon):
• RIP to the original amazing tree lighting ceremony which was also primarily done with these blocks

• Have to rework some of the fireworks

• Another loss… there’s a lore limit enforced on items now. The Minecraft client itself does this, so we can’t change it. The limit is 250 lines. Some of you have noticed you’ve already lost signatures and we’re working on a way to compensate for that (perhaps a voucher with your overflow that you can take the entire stack of overflow signatures and put them all on another item)
• If you have a locker that is not opening, that is why. Also the VIP hall because it’s trying to load an item one of them has equipped with a ton of signatures
• Locker ones are easier to resolve than inventory ones, which we have to pull backups for
• Characters won’t be able to sign if an item is close to the limit (~240), in a perfect world you won’t even be able to drop an item near a character when it’s close to the limit

• New update has positively impacted hotels and lots of other things!

• Performance higher than we ever had on 1.12! Server running so much better on the new version — Ex: we had 140 people on one instance and it was at 20 tps, no lag!

• Overall a very positive update, we’ve gained more than we’ve lost. Excited about what’s to come.

Winter Event

• YIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPEE

• The Winter village will exist for 2 weeks into January, you have from now until 2 weeks into January to play the event and ride the rides

• The build is so awesome! Thanks for all the positive feedback

• We’re adding the regular ride achievements too — won’t count towards 100% after the event is over, so it’ll show like they count towards your progress right now but after the event it will not matter to 100%
• The rides will be in the Hall of Fame!

Winter Fireworks

• Believe in Holiday Magic returns this Friday!

• Pretty similar to last year, minus the fun debug blocks

• The castle will look different at night
• Speaking of…. the windows on Main Street and in the Sugarpine Hollow all light up at night! Shoutout to our pixel artist Alie who made the new windows

• Note: You will always be able to join the server on Vanilla without mods. There will never be required mods, just mods to enhance the experience.
