Version Bump

• 1.21.9/1.21.10 will be our new base version
• 1.19.4+ will still be supported for a transition period, but will be eventually cut off. We recommend updating your version now to avoid interruptions
• We really want to use the Happy Ghast for something cool… (Haunted Mansion elevators? Rafts? Untested, we’ll see.)
• The new version update will look almost identical visually, but on the backend it’s been a huge process to work through. Cam even thinks it was harder in many aspects than the jump from 1.12

Halloween Recap

• Wrapped up tonight, today was the last day of prizes! Pick up your prizes before reboot
• Map is being changed back to normal IF, RIP villains
• What did you all think of the event?
  • Talked about balance with the pros of this year’s collaborative element vs. the chaotic energy of last year’s event through the whole month
• Lowest player count was Maleficent (366 people), Queen of Hearts highest (1,390 people)

Night Market returns!

• Halloween Night Market will return sometime in November
• A chance to buy some Halloween items for keys (and perhaps a few regular items, but primarily Halloween)
• How the Night Market works:
  • You get a menu with 7 items total. These are fixed and do not refresh through the 7-day duration of the Night Market
  • The item will have an auto-generated Magic Key price within a range
  • You can only buy an item once! This generally only adds like 4 of an item into the server’s economy
  • We will make a channel on Discord for people to share their Night Market inventory/prices
• Might create an change rate for Vote Tokens
• Not going to put this year’s team items in, BUT if people want, might slide some team items in from last year’s event (IE: warp effects)

M&G changes

• The M&G update has been live for a couple weeks now… What do you think about the changes?
• At some point we’ll have a drop-off for autograph books, so you don’t have to stay to get them signed. For items, you will still have to meet and greet with the character to get them signed
• The Fastpass Problem
  • The problem with making M&G Fastpasses more common is that it takes away the Priority aspect of it
  • We are down to figure out a balance for some way for non-DVC to access them, but also don’t want to devalue the DVC perk itself as well as tripling the length of the Priority queue
  • Will explore listing them on the market, but this is tricky because need to make it so people aren’t buying expired ones
  • Will look into getting your Fastpass back if you leave the priority queue (e.g., to join a group), but need to see how accurately it would work

Making commands easier

• We are creating alias commands for existing ones on the server, to make them easier to remember and use
  • /setname, /settag, /setemoji, etc

• Don’t think the Polar Express will come back, but we wouldn’t consider that the last time we’ll ever do a winter-exclusive ride

Some Hotels leaks tbh

• Leak: Cam was using hotels the other day…. It does exist and mostly works. Hotels before GTA 6
• Had been in a weird place where hotels has been so hyped up and expected for so long that it could never live up to the hype, but been working on it when possible
• Reminiscing on old hotels beta from the Insiders Discord server
• Basic starter room (no lighting yet, posters provided are randomized):

• You can buy size expansions + the balcony
• Crate bobber items will be placeable in your room for a personal crate opening location
• If hotels isn’t out by the time GTA 6 releases, Cam must gift DVC to 5 random folks, but if it is out before GTA 6, The Laughing Burger must gift DVC to 5 random folks
